A Quiet Ayurveda Retreat on Nattika Beach

Ayur on the Beach is a small Ayurveda retreat run by the Kerala hotel group Abad, created for guests who want to concentrate fully on their treatment. With only twenty villas and an adults-only policy, the atmosphere is calm and personal, and the doctors get to know each guest well during the stay.

Location

The retreat lies right on the sand of Nattika Beach near Triprayar, on a peaceful stretch of the central Kerala coast in Thrissur district. There are no large hotels nearby, only fishing villages and coconut groves. The town of Thrissur, known for its temples, is about 24 km away. Cochin International Airport is approximately 60 km away, around 1.5 hours by car, and airport transfers are included in the package.

Accommodation

Guests stay in Ayur Villas — individual cottages finished in earthy tones with wooden furniture and natural materials. Each villa has a veranda shaded by palms, a pleasant place to sit with herbal tea and listen to the sea between treatments. Wi-Fi is complimentary.

Ayurveda Treatments

Every stay begins with a consultation, after which the doctor prepares a personal plan and follows its progress throughout the cure. Programmes cover classical Panchakarma and body purification, rejuvenation, stress relief, weight management and care for the spine and joints. The package includes two treatment sessions every day, regular doctor consultations and internal herbal medicines. Meals are full board, vegetarian and adapted to each guest's dosha. Group yoga takes place daily, except on the day of arrival and on detoxification days. A Russian-speaking translator can be booked for the first and last consultation.
