Arrive in Delhi, where our representative meets you and takes you to your hotel. The city tour starts at the Qutub Minar, the 12th-century victory tower that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Humayun’s Tomb, the garden mausoleum that inspired the Taj Mahal, then drive past India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President’s residence. Visit the Sikh shrine Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and the Lotus Temple, and end the day at the vast Akshardham temple complex. Overnight in Delhi.
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan (about 5–6 hours). In the afternoon visit the 18th-century observatory Jantar Mantar, the honeycomb façade of Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, and the City Palace, still home to Jaipur’s royal family. Overnight in Jaipur.
In the morning visit Amer Fort, the hilltop fort-palace of the Kachhwaha rulers above Maota Lake. Later see the Albert Hall Museum, the oldest museum in Rajasthan, and in the afternoon Galtaji, a temple complex in a rocky gorge known for its sacred pools and monkeys. Overnight in Jaipur.
Drive to Agra. On the way, stop at Abhaneri to see Chand Baori, one of the deepest and most striking stepwells in India, and at Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar’s red sandstone capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight in Agra.
Early in the morning, board the Vande Bharat Express from Agra to Varanasi, the holy city on the Ganges, arriving in the afternoon; you are met at the station and taken to the hotel. In the evening enjoy a boat ride along the ghats and watch the Ganga Aarti, the fire ceremony performed every evening on the riverbank. Overnight in Varanasi.
After breakfast, transfer to Varanasi airport for your flight to Delhi, where the tour ends.
