Structured Ayurveda Programmes

Veda5 Ayurveda Living Village is an Ayurveda retreat in central Kerala that works with clearly defined treatment programmes of different length and intensity. Guests choose between a full Panchakarma cure, a shorter detox or a compact rejuvenation course, and the doctor then tailors the therapies to the individual. Days start with mantra chanting and yoga and end with meditation, giving the stay a steady, village-like rhythm.

Location

The retreat stands right on the beach at Kuri Kuzhi, Kaipamangalam, on the quiet coast of Thrissur district between Kodungallur and Thrissur. It holds the Ayur Gold classification of Kerala Tourism. Cochin International Airport is approximately 50 km away, about 1 to 1.5 hours by road. For stays of seven nights and longer, transfers from Kochi Airport are included.

Accommodation

Two room categories are available, Deluxe and Superior, both bookable for one or two guests. The room is combined with the chosen treatment programme and full board in a single daily package.

Ayurveda Treatments

Three programmes are offered:

• Ayurveda Panchakarma – the classical deep cleansing cure with about 90 minutes of therapy a day, recommended for 14 to 28 days.
• Samshuddhi Detox – a cleansing programme with about 75 minutes of therapy a day, recommended for 8 to 15 days.
• Kayakalpa Rejuvenation & De-Stress – a relaxing course with about 60 minutes of therapy a day, recommended for 5 to 7 days.

Each stay begins with a doctor's consultation, followed by check-ups on alternate days. Meals are vegetarian and sattvic, planned around each guest's constitution (prakriti); naturopathy treatments can complement the Ayurveda programme. A Russian-speaking translator can be arranged for the first and last consultation on request.
